Physical Science In this course, grade 8 students explore the chemical and physical explanations to everyday phenomena.  The first semester, is spent learning about the world of chemistry.  The second semester l explores the basic principles of physics.  Throughout the year, students will work to develop their methods in the laboratory and  scientific writing skills.		Chemistry In this course, grade 11 students explore the chemical explanation to everyday phenomena.  Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes it undergoes. Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.  Therefore, chemistry is just about everything!  Throughout the year we will refine our experimental methods and scientific writing styles.

Physics In this course, grade 12 students study the laws of motion and energy that govern the behavior of objects in the universe.  Physics can be considered the bridge that links other branches of science.  This elective will help utilize both math and science skills acquired throughout the academic program.
